This image is an illustration, not a photo of an actual facility.
For first-time visitors to real casinos in Korea: passport, age and dress code rules, how to choose between Incheon, Seoul, Busan and Jeju, and what to check before you leave.
This article is for travelers visiting a real, land-based casino in Korea for the first time. It was originally written for travelers from Japan and covers casino facilities that actually operate in Korea.
This article covers 8 major casinos in Incheon, Seoul, Busan and Jeju.
Facility information and entry conditions are based on what we confirmed as of August 28, 2026, plus additional checks on each casino's official website on September 28, 2026 (Seven Luck Casino Seoul Dragon City was checked on October 15, 2026, and Seven Luck Casino Busan Lotte Hotel on October 16, 2026). Conditions may change, so please check each casino's official information before your trip.
Entry conditions: the 8 casinos covered here are 19+, for foreign visitors only, and require a passport
We have confirmed that the following entry conditions apply to all 8 casinos covered in this article.
- They are for foreign visitors only, meaning holders of a non-Korean passport
- Visitors must be 19 or older
- You must show your passport when you enter
These conditions are common to the 8 casinos we checked. We have not checked every casino in Korea.
As for admission fees, the official Paradise Casino website states that entry is free at its three casinos: Walkerhill, Paradise City and Busan (confirmed in September 2026). We could not find official information on admission fees for INSPIRE Casino, Seven Luck Casino Gangnam COEX, Seven Luck Casino Seoul Dragon City, Seven Luck Casino Busan Lotte Hotel or Dream Tower Casino, so please check on site.
Always bring your passport
We have confirmed that all 8 casinos covered here require you to show your passport when you enter. Be sure to carry your passport with you on your trip.
We have not been able to confirm whether a photocopy, a photo on your smartphone, or a residence card can be used instead. Before your trip, check each casino's official website for the latest guidance on identification.
Check the dress code for each casino
The dress guidance we could confirm differs from casino to casino.
What the 5 casinos with official guidance have in common is that casual clothing is fine, but you may be refused entry in overly casual clothing such as shorts, tracksuits or sandals (INSPIRE Casino asks visitors to avoid overly casual clothing, including tank tops). The guidance for each casino is as follows.
| Casino | Dress guidance | Clothing that may be refused entry or that visitors are asked to avoid |
|---|---|---|
| Paradise City | Casual clothing is fine | Shorts, tracksuits, sandals, etc. (you may be refused entry) |
| INSPIRE Casino | No strict dress code | Overly casual clothing such as sandals, tracksuits and tank tops (visitors are asked to avoid these) |
| Paradise Casino Walkerhill | Casual clothing is fine | Shorts, tracksuits, sandals, etc. (you may be refused entry) |
| Seven Luck Casino Gangnam COEX | No special dress code; casual clothing is fine | Shorts, tracksuits, sandals, etc. (you may be refused entry) |
| Seven Luck Casino Seoul Dragon City | No special dress code | Shorts, tracksuits, sandals, etc. (you may be refused entry) |
| Paradise Casino Busan | Casual clothing is fine | Shorts, tracksuits, sandals, etc. (you may be refused entry) |
| Seven Luck Casino Busan Lotte Hotel | No special dress code | Shorts, tracksuits, sandals, etc. (you may be refused entry) |
| Dream Tower Casino | No dress guidance found on the casino page or the customer center page of the official website (confirmed in October 2026) | Needs to be checked on site |
Conditions at any casino may change. Check each casino's official website for the latest information before your trip.
How entry works and what you can bring in
Here is the process for a first visit as described on each casino's official website. The details differ by casino (confirmed in September 2026).
- Show your passport at the entrance to have your age and nationality checked. INSPIRE Casino says it scans your passport at entry to confirm that you are eligible to enter.
- On your first visit, you can get a membership card. Paradise Casino (Walkerhill, Paradise City and Busan) and INSPIRE Casino say that if you do not get a membership card, you will need to show documents every time you visit. At Seven Luck Casino Gangnam COEX, you apply at the CS Center right in front of the entrance by showing your passport.
- You can buy chips at the gaming tables. Paradise Casino says to use the cashier when exchanging chips for cash. Accepted currencies differ by casino.
The official Paradise Casino website says that cameras, electronic devices, metal items (including umbrellas), and food and drinks cannot be brought into the casino and should be left at the checkroom before you enter. Photography is limited to designated areas such as the entrance at Paradise Casino, and is prohibited inside Seven Luck Casino Gangnam COEX. According to their websites, large bags can be left at the information desk at Paradise Casino and at the information desk at the entrance of Seven Luck Casino Gangnam COEX.
Paradise Casino's three casinos say entry is free. The entry process and how to exchange money at each casino are covered on the individual casino pages, such as Paradise City, INSPIRE Casino and Seven Luck Casino Gangnam COEX.
For how to buy chips and exchange money, see Chips and Currency Exchange at Korean Casinos. For how to get a membership card, see What Is a Korean Casino Membership Card? Both articles are organized by casino.
Casino etiquette and things to note
The "Casino Manners" page on the Seven Luck Casino official website (shared by Gangnam COEX, Seoul Dragon City and Busan Lotte Hotel) gives the following guidance on behavior at the tables (confirmed in October 2026).
- Roulette: Stop betting when the dealer says "No more bets," and do not touch other players' chips
- Blackjack: Do not touch the cards dealt to you
- Poker: Bet in turn
- Baccarat: Place your chips exactly in the designated area
- Do not use electronic devices at the table
- Slot Machines: A machine with a coin box in the tray or a chair leaned against it is being used by someone else
- Before betting, check each table's minimum and maximum bet display (Min/Max)
- Do not bring in cameras, electronic devices, metal objects or drinks; leave valuables and large bags at the information desk
The same page says that members are offered free drinks, but that you cannot play while heavily intoxicated. We could not confirm on any casino's official website whether visitors are checked for alcohol at entry, so this needs to be checked on site.
According to their websites, photography at Paradise Casino is limited to designated areas such as the entrance, and photography inside Seven Luck Casino Gangnam COEX is prohibited. Do not take photos on the gaming floor. If there is a spot you would like to photograph, ask the casino staff first.
The entry guide on the Seven Luck Casino official website explains that people under 19 and Korean nationals are not admitted under Korean laws such as Article 28 of the Tourism Promotion Act. The 8 casinos covered on this site are all for foreign visitors only (Korean nationals are not admitted).
One visit, from arrival to departure
Based on each casino's official website, here is a first visit step by step (confirmed in October 2026). The details differ by casino.

The game guide on the Seven Luck Casino official website (shared by all three locations) says Japanese yen in cash can also be exchanged for chips at the table (for details, see Chips and Currency Exchange at Korean Casinos)
- Before you sit down, check each table's minimum and maximum bets. Seven Luck Casino's "Casino Manners" page asks you to check the Min/Max display first, and Paradise Casino Walkerhill says you can check the table limits on the monitor at each table
- Take a break. Seven Luck Casino says members are offered free drinks, and that food at the in-house bar is free when you get a membership card and play. For food and drink conditions at other casinos, check each casino's page
- Before you leave, exchange any remaining chips back into cash at the cashier. Paradise Casino says dealers do not exchange chips for cash
- When you return home, you may need to declare your cash to customs depending on the amount (for travelers from Japan, see Carrying Cash on a Korea Casino Trip)
We could not confirm on the official websites how member points are earned or how to check your points, so this needs to be checked on site.

Arrange a way to stay connected
You will often use your smartphone during your trip, for example to get from the airport, check maps and look up the latest casino information. It helps to decide before you leave home how you will stay connected, such as renting a pocket Wi-Fi router, using an eSIM, or using your mobile carrier's international roaming.
To use an eSIM, you need an eSIM-compatible smartphone. Check compatible models and prices on each provider's official website.
