A beginner's guide to slot machines and electronic table games (ETG) at Korean casinos: machine types, how to play, how tickets (TITO) work, and the number of machines at the 8 main casinos, based on each casino's official website.
Slot machines and electronic table games (ETG) are games you play by operating a machine, without facing a dealer or other players. Both have been confirmed at all 8 main casinos in Korea covered on this site.
This article explains how to play and how these games work, based on the official Paradise Casino game guide and each casino's official website (checked in September 2026). Controls and payouts vary by machine, so follow the information on the machine and the instructions from staff. This article explains how to play. It is not a way to win.
Slot machine basics
Insert banknotes or a ticket into the machine, then spin the reels (columns of symbols) with a button or handle. Depending on the combination of symbols when the reels stop, you are paid according to the machine's own paytable. The official Paradise Casino guide describes slots as a game in which players aim for the highest payout on the paytable (the jackpot).
Types of machines
| Type | Features |
|---|---|
| Reel machines | The classic type, which spins cylindrical reels (three or five) in the center of the machine |
| Video machines | The game runs on a monitor in the center of the machine |
| Hybrid machines | Normally played with reels, with bonus games in video format |
| Progressive machines | Part of the money played is added to a growing jackpot. Some link multiple machines, while others build up a jackpot on each machine |
Paradise Casino also has "mystery jackpot" machines, where part of the money played is accumulated and a jackpot is drawn at random within a set range. The official Seven Luck Casino website introduces "Mighty Cash," a jackpot system that runs machines with the same specifications as a group. Because jackpot amounts change, this article does not cover them.
How to play slots, step by step
- Insert banknotes or a ticket into the machine of your choice. The official guide says to exchange foreign banknotes for Korean banknotes or a ticket at the currency exchange counter
- Use the buttons to choose your bet amount and bet lines (the lines on which wins are counted), then press the start button
- When the reels stop, the prize is determined by the combination of symbols. Some machines also have bonus games
- When you want to stop, press the "Cash Out" or "Collect" button to collect your remaining credits
- For wins above a certain amount and for jackpots, the guide says staff will hand you the cash. If you have any questions, you can call staff with the call button on the machine
Playing with tickets (TITO)
Paradise Casino's machines support "TITO (Ticket In, Ticket Out)," which lets you play with barcoded tickets. You receive your remaining credits as a ticket and can use it as-is at another machine. Tickets can be exchanged for cash at a ticket booth or a redemption machine. The official Paradise City website also states that slots and electronic table games are played with Korean won in cash or with dedicated tickets.
What are electronic table games (ETG)?
The official Seven Luck Casino website describes electronic table games as a new type of electronic game in which you can play various games at the same time on a single electronic machine. You bet on table games such as Baccarat and Roulette from a terminal at your seat. For the Gangnam COEX location, the website lists Baccarat, Roulette, and Sic Bo (Dai Siu / Tai Sai) game machines, with a total of 51 terminals.
The official INSPIRE Casino website introduces the "ETG Stadium" (195 seats, 5 types of games in total), which has a large LED screen 24 meters long. The official Dream Tower Casino website also introduces an electronic gaming area with slots, electronic table games, and more.
Number of machines at the 8 main casinos
The numbers listed on each casino's official website are as follows (checked in September 2026; Seven Luck Casino Seoul Dragon City and Seven Luck Casino Busan Lotte Hotel checked in October 2026). Numbers may change.
- Paradise City (Incheon): 353 slot machines, 154 electronic table games
- INSPIRE Casino (Incheon): 395 slot machines, ETG Stadium with 195 seats

Things to check before you play
Machines are played with Korean won in cash or with tickets, so get ready at the currency exchange counter first. How exchange works is explained in Chips and currency exchange at Korean casinos. According to the FAQ on the official Paradise Casino website, you earn points when you insert your membership card into a machine while you play (see What is a Korean casino membership card?).
Decide how much you will spend at the casino before your trip, and stay within that amount. The 8 casinos covered on this site are for foreign visitors only (Korean nationals are not admitted) and are open to visitors aged 19 and over.
Summary
To play slots, insert banknotes or a ticket and play using the buttons. When you stop, press Cash Out to receive a ticket. Electronic table games let you bet on table games such as Baccarat from a terminal. Table game rules are covered in our game guides, such as Baccarat rules and how to play.
