A beginner-friendly overview of Sic Bo (Dai Siu / Tai Sai) at Korean casinos: how the three-dice game works, bet types from Big/Small and Even/Odd to triples, payouts and how a game works, based on the game guide on Paradise Casino's official website.

Sic Bo (Dai Siu / Tai Sai) is a table game where you bet on how three dice will land. Paradise Casino's official guide describes it as a game that is especially popular in Asia.

This article sums up the rules and how to bet, based on the game guide on Paradise Casino's official website (checked on September 29, 2026). Payouts may differ by casino and table, so follow the sign at the table where you play and the staff's instructions. This article explains the rules only. It is not a way to win.

Sic Bo basics

The dealer rolls three dice in a special machine (a dice shaker). If the result matches the number or combination you bet on, you win. You join simply by placing chips on the betting spots printed on the table.

According to the official guide, unlike roulette, Sic Bo uses regular money chips, so when many people are playing you may lose track of where your own chips are. Remember where you placed chips and how much.

Types of bets and payouts

The multipliers in the tables below convert the payout ratios in the official guide (for example, 1:8) into how many times your bet is paid.

If all three dice show the same number (a "triple"), bets such as Big/Small and Even/Odd are collected. According to the official guide, when a triple comes up, all bets except Any Triple and Single Dice are collected.

How a game works

  • Place your chips when the dealer invites bets. After "No More Bets," you can no longer bet
  • The dealer rolls the dice in the machine, announces the result and shows it on the table's electronic display
  • Losing chips are collected first, and then winning chips are paid. Do not place chips for the next bet until all payouts are finished
  • If the result cannot be read, for example because the dice are stacked on each other, the round may be declared void (no game)

Decide how much you will spend at the casino before your trip, and enjoy the game within that amount. The 8 casinos covered on this site are for foreign visitors only (Korean nationals are not admitted) and are open to visitors aged 19 and over.

For how much each bet, such as Big/Small or a number bet, loses on average over time (the house edge), see our house edge quick reference.

Summary

Sic Bo is a game where you place chips on how you think three dice will land. Wide bets such as Big/Small and Even/Odd pay less, and the more specific the result you bet on, the bigger the payout. Payouts may differ by table, so check the table sign and staff instructions before you sit down.
