A guide to Caribbean Stud Poker at Korean casinos: how you play five cards against the dealer, hand rankings, the Ante and Double Bet, and payouts by hand, based on the game guide on the official Paradise Casino website.
Caribbean Stud Poker is a game where you compare the strength of your five-card hand against the dealer (the house). After looking at the cards you are dealt, you make one decision only: fold, or add to your bet and continue.
This article explains the rules and payouts based on the game guide on the official Paradise Casino website (checked on September 29, 2026). Among the casinos covered on this site, this game has been confirmed at Dream Tower Casino, but whether the payouts there are the same needs to be checked on site. Follow the signs at the table where you play and the instructions from staff. This article explains the rules. It is not a way to win.
Hand rankings
From highest to lowest, the hands are: royal flush, straight flush, four of a kind, full house, flush, straight, three of a kind, two pair, and one pair. How each hand is made is explained in Texas Hold'em Poker rules and how the game works. According to the official guide, a straight containing A-K-Q ranks above a straight containing 3-2-A.
How a round works
- Ante: Place a bet on the "Ante" spot to join the game
- Everyone receives five cards, and the dealer turns only one of their own cards face up
- To fold, push your cards toward the dealer, and your Ante is collected. To continue, place twice your Ante on the "Double Bet" spot
- The dealer reveals their cards. If the dealer does not have at least "Ace-King," there is no showdown, and only your Ante is paid at 1 to 1
- If the dealer has Ace-King or better, the hands are compared. If the dealer's hand is higher, your Ante and additional bet are collected. If your hand is higher, your Ante is paid at 1 to 1 and your Double Bet is paid according to your hand
According to the official guide, players are not allowed to share information about their cards with each other during the game.
Double Bet payouts
According to the official guide, the Double Bet pays as shown in the table below when the player wins. The guide also states that there is a maximum payout per hand.
| Hand | Payout |
|---|---|
| Royal flush | 100 to 1 |
| Straight flush | 50 to 1 |
| Four of a kind | 20 to 1 |
| Full house | 7 to 1 |
| Flush | 5 to 1 |
| Straight | 4 to 1 |
| Three of a kind | 3 to 1 |
| Two pair | 2 to 1 |
| One pair or lower | 1 to 1 |
There is also an optional progressive jackpot, which you can bet on only if you have placed an Ante. It pays for a flush or better, regardless of the result against the dealer. Because the amount changes, this article does not cover it.
Which casinos in Korea offer it
Of the 8 main casinos covered on this site, Caribbean Stud Poker has been confirmed at Dream Tower Casino in Jeju (based on confirmation with the casino in September 2026). A similar game played against the dealer is Three Card Poker.
Decide how much you will spend at the casino before your trip, and stay within that amount. The 8 casinos covered on this site are for foreign visitors only (Korean nationals are not admitted) and are open to visitors aged 19 and over.
Summary
In Caribbean Stud Poker, you join with an Ante, look at your five cards, and decide whether to fold or continue with the Double Bet. How the round is settled depends on whether the dealer has Ace-King or better. Payouts may vary by table, so check them before you sit down.
