Can you visit Paradise City or INSPIRE Casino during a layover at Incheon International Airport? We cover entry requirements (visa and K-ETA for Japanese nationals), casino entry conditions, airport shuttle buses and timing, based on official information.
If you have time during a layover at Incheon International Airport, can you visit one of the casinos near the airport? This article answers that question based on official information from public authorities and from each casino. It covers the two casinos in the Incheon International Airport area: Paradise City and INSPIRE Casino.
This article is about traveling to real, land-based casinos in Korea. Entry requirements were checked in October 2026 and casino access information in September 2026. Conditions may change, so please check the official information before your trip.
To go during a layover, you need to enter Korea
Both Paradise City and INSPIRE Casino are outside the airport terminals, and you travel between them and the airport by free shuttle bus or by car. This means that if you visit during a layover, you will go through immigration and enter Korea.
The official Incheon International Airport website also says that the desk for its "Transit Tour" for transfer passengers is located after immigration. One of the conditions for joining this tour is a layover of 24 hours or less (it is not a tour that goes to a casino).
Entry requirements for Japanese nationals
According to the Embassy of Japan in the Republic of Korea, Japanese nationals visiting Korea for purposes such as tourism or business can enter without a visa for 90 days. Entry for the purpose of employment or other paid activities is not covered.
As for the electronic travel authorization (K-ETA), the same embassy announced on December 24, 2025 that the Korean government had extended the temporary exemption for eligible countries and regions, including Japan, until December 31, 2026. If you travel in 2027 or later, check the official K-ETA website for the latest rules.
Entry requirements differ by nationality. If you are not a Japanese national, please check the official information on Korean visas and K-ETA.
Casino entry conditions
The 8 casinos covered on this site are for foreign visitors only (holders of foreign passports; Korean nationals are not admitted) and are open to visitors aged 19 and over. You must show your passport when you enter. The same applies to the two casinos in Incheon.
As for dress codes, Paradise City allows casual wear (you may be refused entry in shorts, tracksuits or sandals, for example). INSPIRE Casino has no strict dress code, but asks visitors to avoid overly casual clothing such as sandals, tracksuits and tank tops.
Getting from the airport to the two casinos
Paradise City is within 5 minutes by car from Incheon International Airport.
INSPIRE Casino is about 15 minutes by car from Terminal 2 of Incheon International Airport. The table below shows the free shuttle bus stops and other details for both casinos.
| Item | Paradise City | INSPIRE Casino |

Based on each casino's official website (checked September 2026). "-" means the item was not checked for this article.
Shuttle bus times vary by day of the week. Especially if you are using the shuttle during a layover, check the latest timetable on each casino's official website before you go. For a detailed comparison of the two casinos, see "Casinos and Casino Hotels at Incheon Airport."
Timing during a layover
This article does not say how much time you can spend during a layover. The time needed for immigration, travel between the airport and the casino, and check-in and departure immigration for your next flight changes with the time of day and how crowded it is.
Before you head out, it helps to check the following.
- The check-in deadline for your next flight (see your airline's information)
- Whether your checked baggage is sent through to your final destination or you need to collect it first (ask your airline)
- Shuttle bus times between the airport and the casino (each casino's official website)
- That you have your passport with you (needed both for immigration and for casino entry)
Make not missing your next flight the top priority, and plan with plenty of spare time. Also set a limit on how much you will spend at the casino before you head out.
Hotels for an overnight layover
If your layover includes an overnight stay, a hotel in the same complex as a casino is one option. Hotel Paradise is in the same resort complex as Paradise City, and INSPIRE Entertainment Resort is in the same complex as INSPIRE Casino.
Summary
You can visit Paradise City and INSPIRE Casino, near Incheon International Airport, during a layover, but you need to go through immigration and enter Korea. Japanese nationals visiting for tourism can enter without a visa for 90 days, and K-ETA is temporarily waived until December 31, 2026.
To enter the casinos, you must be 19 or older and bring your passport. Check your next flight's times and how your baggage is handled first, and plan with plenty of spare time. If this is your first visit to a Korean casino, also see "A Guide for First-Time Visitors to Korean Casinos."
